Benefits of HomeSchooling

With the increase in pressures and stresses upon families today many are opting for homeschooling as a viable option in the education of their children,of all ages.This raises the question "What are the Benefits of Homeschooling?"
Having homeschooled our five children we found numerous benefits and would always recommend homeschooling as an excellent educational option for families to consider.
To name a few of the benefits:
*An immediate cessation of schoolground bullying(probably the number one concern for parents and children alike today).
*The ability to observe the children's strengths and weaknesses in all aspects of their education-whether they are weak or strong in English,Mathematics,a flair for learning new languages,a natural talent for art or music and so forth.
*Because the children are less tired and less stressed there is a happy,supportive atmosphere within the home and a willingness for all to contribute towards a helpful attitude towards each other.
*It is only a very short period of time from when the children begin homeschooling that they start to become self-starters in their learning areas.In other words they are motivated to WANT to learn and to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
for what and how they are learning.Therefore the end result is that the children become self-motivated with a lifelong love for learning and acquiring new skills.
*When the children become sick at any time,the time flexibility within the Homeschool environment allows them to rest and recuperate without falling behind in their education.
*Homeschooled children tend to mix and be at ease with a wide range of age groups and relate well to those of other cultures to their own.They are sociable and develop a wide array of friendships with many other homeschoolers.
*The 'formal' aspect of their studies for each day are usually completed quickly,allowing for free time to pursue other activities,such as Music lessons or Art/Craft projects,Science projects,or anything else that each individual has a special interest in.
These are really but a few of the many benefits of Homeschooling.
